Queens, NY: Amazura concert hall will never be the same again, this after Sanchez, Taurrus Riley, Christopher Martin, I-Octane and company stormed through the predominantly Jamaican community in Queens, New York and left more than 3,500 screaming fans begging for more.

Beginning promptly at 12:15 a.m., the Irie Jam Radio sponsored event got underway with up-coming acts including Kranium and Kconeil who gave enthusiastic performances. Of the headliners, it was Sanchez whose star shone the brightest. Entering the stage with his band in tow, the reggae crooner took the crowd down memory lane enthralling them with an amazing rendition of the Otis Redding classic 'A Change is Gonna Come.' The crowd cheered as he belted out 'I Can’t Wait', 'Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone', 'Here I Am', I’m Never Gonna Fall in Love Again, Missing You', 'Chronic’ and more.

His gospel segment was just as engaging as he reeled off ‘Down by the River' and 'I Must Tell Jesus', before closing with a superb rendition of 'Amazing Grace'.

Other strong performances came from Christopher Martin who struck just the right chord, charming fans with "Chill Spot," "Cheaters Prayer" and "Mi Friend Dem."

Soulful reggae singer Terry Linen who was making a welcome return to the NY stage did not disappoint, as he ran through favorites like ‘Your Love Is My Love,’ ‘Call On A Friend,’ ‘No Time To Linger’ and songs from his new sophomore album ‘Welcome To My World.’ I-Octane worked overtime before coming into his own with "Gal A Gimmie Bun" and "My Life."

Tarrus Riley, who brought the curtain down, sang his heart out for more than 45 minutes, delivering "She’s Royal,” “Good Girl Gone Bad,” “Superman” and "My Life" from his new album "Love Situation."

“I am extremely satisfied with how the ‘Ladies Ball’ turned out” event promoter Bobby Clarke said. “We actually turned back hundreds of patrons because we just did not have the space to accommodate them. The success of this event was the result of excellent planning, solid promotions and strong support from our community” he said.
