CASTRIES, St Lucia, Friday March 31, 2017 – Following a soft opening last month, the all-inclusive, 455-room Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa in the north of the island officially opened last week.
And Prime Minister Allen Chastanet said it is a significant step for local tourism, as the US$250 million six-star resort fits into the new branding thrust for the island, and represents the standard that people expect when they visit
Owned and operated by Canada’s third largest airline – the family-owned Sunwing Travel Group – the Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa was constructed at the site of the former Smuggler’s Cove Resort at Cap Estate in less than 17 months.
Guests can choose from the property’s resort section – largely for families – or the Diamond Club section for families and groups seeking premium amenities. Diamond Club guests receive butler service, plus personalized check-out and check-in at an exclusive Diamond Club lounge.
Accommodations at the Hideaway at the Royalton Saint Lucia section – a hotel within a resort – cater to age 18 and up.
The resort also offers several dining and cuisine options on a no-reservations-required basis.
