Andrae Campbell is an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger and teacher who is currently completing his first studio-recorded compilation of original and long-loved jazz and classical compositions. Hailing from the tropical island of Jamaica, he studied classical music and jazz history at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in the capital city of Kingston. As he honed his skill in playing classical music, his interest in jazz grew and he soon discovered that his passion is truly the soul and dynamics of jazz. Responding to this discovery, Andrae engaged himself in listening to and learning from various jazz artistes. Accordingly he has become recognized as an illustrious jazz performer in his own right. He has been a featured artiste of the Ocho Rios International Jazz Festival and the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, performing with local and international artistes like songbird Myrna Hague and trumpeter extraordinaire Ginetta Minichiello.
Andrae's transcendent style has consistently earned him a coveted place on legendary guitarist, Ernest Ranglin's jazz quartet, and in 2007, Country Music Television selected Andrae to accompany recording artiste, Johnny Reid in their production, "Country Music By the Sea", shot on location in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. In addition, Andrae has appeared on national morning talk show, "Smile Jamaica" and has been the guest artiste for popular radio program, "One heart, One song" with dynamic musician and scholar, Godfrey Taylor.
Delivering a unique blend of old-school-inspired jazz techniques with classical style and flair, Andrae's grooves never fail to mesmerize and transform listeners, whether on the beach or in the ballroom.
