With more nude beaches than any other Caribbean island, Jamaica is the perfect place to bare it all. Our au naturel beaches range from sedate and relaxing, to wilder and more self-indulgent. So it’s just a question of packing a towel and some serious sun block, and then picking a patch of sand that’s right for you.
Nude tanning is permitted on private beaches island-wide. Find a secluded spot to slip out of your suit at Oracabessa’s James Bond Beach or at Negril’s Bloody Bay. Or take a boat ride to an island shared only by fellow nudists, Negril’s Booby Cay. Ask for a little more privacy at Reggae Vibes, Ocho Rios, and the managers will corner off a section of the beach just for you. In Trelawny, Time & Place’s deserted white sand offers quiet seclusion that’s perfect for wearing nothing at all.
Jamaica’s “Capital of Casual” Negril on the intoxicating North Coast has been blessed with two shimmering beaches, one stretching seven crystal white sand miles and the other equally enchanting. Located just north of a slice of land jutting out towards Booby Cay is Bloody Bay – one of Negril’s most picturesque beaches. There is some debate about how the beach claimed its name. Some argue it was the site of a vicious pirate battle, but most believe hunters used to massacre whales there, turning the sea blood-red. Shrouded by this seemingly dark past, Bloody Bay still mystifies and intrigues beachgoers with its beauty.
Located just 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Ocho Rios, James Bond Beach is a spectacular, beautiful beach surrounded by crystal clear water and an amazing backdrop; the lush mountains of St Mary reaching straight down to the sea. James Bond Beach is well known for the fabulous fresh fish and seafood served at the two-storey Moonraker “Jamaican” Bar & Grill. The fish is so fresh they let you pick which one you want to eat! If you are looking for a little excitement James Bond Beach also offers the ultimate guided waverunner tours. The tours riders pass the famous GoldenEye, where Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novels then pass on to UB40′s home and some of the most breathtaking views that can only be seen on a personal watercraft.
Time ‘N’ Place in Trelawny (just 45 minutes outside of Montego Bay), is one of the most seductive bars in Jamaica and said to be one of the top 30 bars in the Caribbean! The small bar is built of thatch and at the few tables and chairs, you can order superb jerk chicken, coconut shrimp and grilled lobster among other delectable dishes. A good selection of CDs or radio stations along with the beautiful bond fire will keep your feet moving at night. In addition to being one of the best beach bars Time ‘N’ Place has four beautiful wooden cottages to stay in! If you are looking for a place where you can literally hear the waves lapping under your window this is definitely it. In the day enjoy a remote, white-sand beach with crystal clear waters where you can walk for miles and see no one, a gazebo jutting into the beach, hammocks swaying gently near an open-air bar and the restaurant right on the beach. At night you’re only walking distance away from the enchanting Luminous Lagoon.

Many of our resorts also have “clothing optional” areas, where you can bare as much as you dare, as well as secret spaces designated specifically for those who like to sunbathe in the buff. SuperClubs is perhaps the most free-spirited of Jamaica’s hotel chains, with their legendary den of iniquity, Hedonism II. Choose from the “prude” or the “nude” beach, each with its own pool, hot tub, bar and grill, and much more. For the naturalist looking for a more elegant setting, SuperClubs’ Grand Lido Negril and Braco both have clothing-optional locales (Note: “Nude” means you can be completely naked. “Clothing optional” means you determine how much clothing you want to keep on). Playful pairs may also enjoy tanning sans clothing on Tower Isle, a small cay about 200 yards off shore from Couples, Ocho Rios.
The hotel’s boat ships guests to this private nude beach, with a pool, cabana bar and romantic spots for snuggling. Across Jamaica, but especially in Negril, you’ll also find a few smaller hotels that understand your yearning to lose restrictive pieces of clothing. Scattered along Negril’s seven-mile beach and tucked away on its rugged cliffs, these resorts make a special effort to provide private places for you to relax in the nude. So if you want to remember what it’s like to be a bare-bottomed kid playing on the shore, sun on your back, warm water tickling your toes and laughter jiggling your tummy, visit Jamaica. Wash away remaining inhibitions in our soothing waters and feel the warmth of our sun on your naked body. This is Jamaica, au naturel!
