Come Friday February 21-2014 the Jamaica Bauxite Institute (JBI) will partner with the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) to Launch Water Harvesting Greenhouse Cluster Project.
Officiating at the launch will be Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Roger Clarke.
The launch will take place at the Water Valley Mines, St. Ann Jamaica, at two in the afternoon.
The Project objectives are to facilitate farmers’ access to mined out lands; convert one (1) mined-out pit to a surface water reservoir to be used for irrigation water at each site; assist local farmers to develop 20 greenhouses at each site and improve agricultural production through the development of greenhouse clusters.
