April 2012 is global Autism Month.
This year The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation commemorates four years of existence on April 28-2012, when we mark our anniversary.
We are the only Autism Foundation in the nation.
Our flagship activity to alert the nation to Autism issues is the choosing of hopefully six Autism and Disabilities Ambassadors for this year 2012.
This competition was designed and begun last year to motivate behavioural change, among the secondary school population of the nation, as it relates to being aware of the issues of Autism which is on the rise. This is how we want to impact the situation.
This demographic represents the next generation of parents, teachers, nurses, doctors, colleagues of the new generation of Autists that are now being born and it is essential that they learn.
