Tomorrow Thursday November 14-2013 marks the commemoration ceremony for world diabetes day and national diabetes week 2013 in Jamaica.
The ceremony will take place at the Pan American Health Organisation office, starting at 8:30 a.m. 8 Gibraltar Road UWI Mona Campus.
Each year National Diabetes Week and World Diabetes Day are commemorated. This year’s slogan is ‘Diabetes: Protect our future” and National “Diabetes protect our future: Take control’.
The global campaign seeks to inspire and engage local communities to promote and disseminate simple education and prevention messages and organize activities to strengthen recognition among the public that diabetes is a global health threat with serious and far-reaching consequences that affect us all.
