While Usain Bolt’s 9.58s dream run speaks volumes about his athletic prowess, he is also a good human at heart. After retiring from competitive sports, he decided to dedicate a part of his life to putting a smile back on children. Started in 2010, the Usain Bolt Foundation has a mission of “Creation of opportunities through education and cultural development for a positive change.

However, apart from helping the budding buds of tomorrow, Bolt is also involved in several other ventures. In one such touching initiative and display of gratitude and devotion, the Jamaican track legend has given back to his roots in an extraordinary way. And needless to say, the gesture is winning over the internet rapidly.

In an X update, Usain Bolt’s noble initiative was highlighted. The post read, Jamaican sprinter and the world fastest 100m race record holder Usain Bolt converted the village of his parents into a modern town with contemporary facilities.”

The story begins when Bolt, eager to provide his parents with a comfortable life, offered to purchase them a house in the city.

Rather than insisting on relocating them, he decided to bring development and contemporary facilities directly to the village.“Bolt thus decided to modernise the village by building social infrastructure such as school, recreational facilities, health centre and playground for children in the village to make it more habitable for all.” He ensured that his parents and the entire community could enjoy an enhanced quality of life without sacrificing their cherished bonds and way of life.

Well, giving back to the people is nothing new for Usain Bolt. Back in 2015, the Jamaican demonstrated remarkable generosity towards his alma mater. Usain Bolt provided William Knibb Memorial High School with a substantial donation of £838,000 ($1.3 million) along with brand-new sporting gear.

Specifically, he gifted the financially-strapped school with 50 footballs bearing his name, 50 pairs of football boots, shin guards, and bibs to aid their campaign in the upcoming ISSA FLOW DaCosta Cup. In Bolt’s own words, “William Knibb played an integral role in the athlete that I am today so any time they call or anything I can do to give back, I am more than happy

The sprinting phenomenon, sponsored by Puma, made this kind gesture shortly after returning to Jamaica following his triple gold medal triumph at the World Championships in China. In addition to the football equipment, he donated cricket bats, pads, clothing, gloves, and balls to support the school’s upcoming cricket season.
