Tahnee wins Miss St Lucia UK pageant

Twenty year old, Tahnee Hippolyte, of Edmonton, London won the first ever Miss St Lucia/UK Pageant from a bevy of eight other contestants on Friday 4th June at the Radisson BLU hotel in London. The first runner up was Curmiah St Catherine, and second runner up was Tamara Plummer. Tahnee is the daughter on Keith and Emma Richards Hippolyte of Summersdale, Castries, St Lucia now residing in the United Kingdom. As part of her whirlwind title, she will be coming to St Lucia making appearances at the homecoming events which will be taking place on the Island in July 2010. At the moment she is studying Child Psychology as she is gaining experience working with children as she hopes to continue her education in that field. She said the whole contest has given her more encouragement to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress and helping the under privileged children of the world. She would like to thank her sponsors who are Southern Solution Shipping, Mr Wilson St Rose for being there with her all the way through and hope for them to continue being proud of her. The organiser of the show, Grace Felix Duplessis was very pleased that the show got off the ground as this was her first and most challenging experience as she channelled her way through all the ups and downs.
