Prioritizing Carnival main body parts for 2012

3665138479?profile=originalSome people will tell you, that with carnival occurring early next year, they are looking for a complete body makeover. But are there different parts on both sexes that stand out, and where the work is most needed? The answer is yes! Unfortunately for women they have it much harder than men for two main reasons: They store body fat in areas that are highly visible at Carnival time. They are super-sensitive to how they look in a dressed up bikini; because that is the basic structure of most female costumes.
Men on the other hand don’t feel as much mental pressure for two reasons: They feel that everybody will be looking at the women (including themselves). Put a cold beer in their hands (the men), give them a short pants, and as far as they are concerned, they are good for the road. Cellulite is a foreign word for most men.

Training the women

For carnival, women need to concentrate on abdominals, triceps (back of the arms) legs and butt. Abdominals. A woman does not look sexy if her belly is flapping over her carnival belt. Toning the abs, requires a combination of cardio and ab exercises, which include leg raises, knee raises, Swiss ball sit-ups and suspended side bends. Triceps. It’s pretty scary to watch a woman waving her arm in the air to the exciting sounds of carnival music, and seeing a blob of fat at the back of her upper arm also waving; as if it has taken on a life of its own. For triceps, perform lying triceps extensions (busshead), narrow grip bench press and dips between benches.

Legs. Legs take up half of your body and is the home to cellulite on some women’s bodies. Concentrate on free squats, deadlifts and 60 metre sprints. Isolation movements, like leg extensions, are over rated and are not going to pack quality muscle fast enough on your legs. Butt. It is equally scary at carnival time, to see a woman at a fete, jumping and moving to the left, while her butt is heading to the right. Nobody likes a flabby butt, or even one that has a strange, watery shape. The best butt exercise is the walking lunge end of story. You just can’t beat the walking lunge for bringing out a round, firm onion-shaped butt.

Training the men

When last did you see cellulite on a man’s legs? Most men just don’t have that problem. Men need to concentrate on abs, chest, shoulders, arms and calves, because of what they wear at carnival time. In fact if a man wants to get buff fast, he should stick to compound movements like bench press, squats, deadlifts and clean and press. These exercises will put slabs of quality muscle on you very quickly. In addition to this, diet is going to play a crucial part in shrinking your waistline fast; you also need to be very selective in your carbohydrate intake. Both sexes still have sufficient time to look good on the road, provided there is no more procrastination. Go for it now! Keep Training.
