My son Quinn Garren James Smith has Autism.
He is a Jamaican and we try each day to live with this disorder, which I really don't like but which is growing every where in the world including Jamaica and the Caribbean - Founder of The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation.
If you believe in God He will take you through the Autism life, He'll actually take you through all the bad stuff and I guarantee because I have experienced it, He will give you Beauty for ashes.
My son Quinn is now attending and Special Education facility. in Kingston Jamaica and going through his high school programme, after being diagnosed severely Autistic at the age of 3.
Here he is in New York, where we were flown by Jamaica's National airline Air Jamaica, to represent the Foundation of which he is the Chief Ambassador, to speak on the needs of the Autism Community in Jamaica to various stakeholders in New York, and to seek specifically books and other written resources for the Autism Kiosk The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation created in Kingston Jamaica, with the help of donors of materials from around the world, Courts Jamaica Limited and the wonderful Jamaica library Service.
