April is Autism Month.
The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation (MCADF)recently through the good offices of World Bank consultant Gerrard McDaniel was able to augment our Autism and Disabilities Kiosk resources, with the 2011 World Health Organisation/World Bank Report on Disabilities.
This resources is useful to members of the community, researchers and anyone interested in acquiring knowledge on the position and state of the global disabilities community.
The full report (hard copy) is available at the The Jamaica Library Service (MCADF) Autism Kiosk, located at Tom Redcam Avenue at the Tom Redcam Library Kingston Jamaica.
Many thanks to Senior Librarian Carrol Plummer - who sent us this letter (see pictures) with heartfelt thanks from the Kingston and St. Andrew parish Library Network, for our facilitation of the placement of this crucial document into the kiosk, into an area where the public at large has access to it.
Please recall, that the KIOSK is open to the public during library hours, it is constantly being augmented with key and valuable information.
No charge to use, just politeness to the library staff and adhering to the rules.
Email the MCADF about using the Kiosk at mcautismfoundation@gmail.com or the Jamaica Library Service at ksapl@hotmail.com
Before the end of Autism Month, three summary versions of the larger document will be sent to the kiosk, which provides and easier read.
