Dear Friends:
The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation (MCADF) has been granted funding by the Canadian Investment Development Agency (CIDA) to carry out Autism Splash a diagnostic event for persons who need diagnostic reports to access the right care for the disorder. The event occurs on November 7 and 8 -2011 at the Emancipation Park, between the hours 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
The days are Monday and Tuesday. We would like to offer your organization the opportunity to set up a display at the event to showcase the work you do for the disabled people you serve. This will be of no cost to you organization by our team.
Based on our investigations the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) they have fees they charge to booth holders, which would be the responsibility of your organization. We however being aware of the dearth of funds within the segment of the population, which we are a part of are in the process of trying to get these fees waived so that all your team will have to do is come set up and participate.
We believe that the potential for data logging here will service the education agenda greatly. And would be an great twinning of themes, of both MOEY and MCADF.
We anticipate a high level of media focus which would benefit all our groups, news media will be present both radio television and print also the production team of the Susan Show who will not just take Autism stories but be able to highlight your agency’s needs.
Please confirm that you will come and display by contacting us at mcautismfoundation@gmail.com.
We can accommodate 18 organisations and if your team has Autistic individuals who need diagnostic reports they will be given priority.
While we are also providing these diagnostic services we also will be creating a database of Autistic persons, which we will make open to any of your teams who may need this information.
We need confirmation of your participation by Friday October 7-2011, in order to make the necessary logistic arrangements as well as include your organisations in the media leading into the event. Looking forward to you joining us.

Best Regards
Maia Chung-Smith
