Japanese Reggae Group Signs Deal with Nike

Japanese reggae group, Mighty Crown, recently announced an endorsement deal with the athletic wear juggernaut, Nike. Set to hit stores this September, the sneaker will be labeled "Dynasty High". CWN "Sneaker deals with major companies are only given to high achievers," says Garfield "Chin" Bourne of Irish & Chin, Inc., Mighty Crown's manager. "I am proud that Crown is ranked among the celebrities who have received this honor...nevertheless, I will not allow it to let them lose focus." The Dynasty High sneakers will be distributed to all corners of the globe. Directly linked to the anniversary of Crown's Yokohama Reggae Festival, the sneaker indeed marks a special milestone for the group. Dynasty Crown is no stranger in taking the entrepreneurial route when it comes to producing merchandise, entertainment, and record labels. The band's clothing line, Nine Rulaz, has been successful since the official launch in 2002. The band is equally known for their unique style of playing dancehall music throughout the world.
