On the 31st of January 2012 The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation will be issuing the entry forms for The Autism and Disabilities Competition 2012 via this space and our media sponsor.3666651449?profile=original

This year we are looking for three Ambassadors who can be from anywhere in the country, who from their acceptance into the competition will up until April 28-2012 the awards date; chose a disabled person or group that they will work with, in their community - for the period of three months, developing a project to help them, volunteering with that group for the period of the competition, developing a way to tell the general public about the needs of the disabled and the writing of an essay, due April 1 -2012 as to what they learnt about the disabled during the period.

The competition is open to 12 year olds to 18 year olds. The entrant has to be supervised by a teacher, guidance counselor or pastor for the duration of the competition.

The competition is open to the nation's students.
Judges are the member of the board of Directors of The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation.

Prizes this year are a laptops, trophies, cash, cell phones, internships with a national media houses, a media training course in public speaking, tickets to Jamaica's first Monster Truck show, and participation in the inaugural Autism and Disabilities Banquet on the 28-2012 at The International Hotel Chain the Wyndham in Kingston Jamaica.

Last year's competition was excellent and yielded some top tier performers for whom the Foundation was very grateful for their entry.
