Good news for the The Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation (MCADF) Autism Kiosk located in Kingston at the Tom Redcam Library in Jamaica.
We have acquired the following books for the Autism Kiosk the books are :"School Success for Kids with Asperger's Syndrome by Stephan M. Silverman, Ph.D., and Rich Weinfield, also "The Autism Handbook for Parents Facts and Strategies for Parenting Success" by Janice E. Janzen, also "Autism and the God Connection Redefining the Autistic Exprience Through Extraordinary Accounts of Spiritual Giftedness" by William Stillman and "The Autism Book What Every Parent Needs to Know About Early Detection, Treatment, Recovery, and Prevention" by Robert W. Sears. MD, FAAP.
The books will add to the resources that are already at the only existing kiosk focusing on Autism awareness in the country.
Located in at the Tom Redcam Library the Kiosk was formulated in tandem with the National Library Service and was provided with multi-media equipment by Courts Jamaica Limited.
The new resources were purchased with funding provided by philanthropist David Squeeze Annakie as a part of the facilitation of the continued work of the MCADF.
The Kiosk is open Mondays to Fridays during regular library hours and can be accessed by any Jamaican or person of any nationality wishing to do so.
