Jah Certain, (real name Geri Jermaine Fong) is a Jamaican Sing-jay and Song Writer.
He was born to Gwenieth Bell and Gilbert Fong on May 21st 1983 in Linstead St. Catherine Jamaica, and was raised in Ewarton, St. Catherine. That area remained his home after birth until age three. He then left to reside with his mother in St. Ann in Jamaica.
Jah Certain has been admired since his early years for his wealth of knowledge and intellectual abilities.
He later relocated to his original home in Ewarton, where he attended the Ewarton Primary School. He then moved on to attend the Charlemont High School where he was considered a very active student, and was successful in his CXC and CAPE subjects.
Jah Certain was also a member of the football team; he played at the Colts and DaCosta Cup level.
From an early age, Jah Certain had a great passion for music. Jah Certain started singing and deejaying in his community where he attained the first recognition for his capabilities.
During his teen years he developed a greater love for music and was further encouraged by some of his schoolmates.
After his graduation he became committed to music and started his journey to achieving his goal. It was in 2004 that Jah Certain had his first taste of what it felt like being on the big stage. He performed at Reggae Camp Fire held at Polly Ground Ewarton, St. Catherine.
This was when he was reunited and begun to share the spotlight with his past musical brethrens Reb-lah and Iyano Iyanti.
Jah Certain has recorded a number of songs and has worked at few shows locally and internationally.
He has worked with producers like Diavallan Fearon from Builder Music as well as other upcoming producers.
Jah Certain is a promising artist for the world to see.
He is looking towards great things with his conscious and positive lyrics in the near future.
Positive focus, determination and goal-oriented are few of the words to describe the promising reggae rising star from the land of wood and water (Jamaica land we love).
