When laas yuh laugh ‘til yuh feel like yuh belly a guh bus’? Well “Midnight at Puss Creek,” the eagerly anticipated theater comedy-play starring Oliver Samuels and Glen “Titus” Campbell promises to make you do just that. With two shows in Florida, one at South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, July 2, and the other at Coral Springs Center for the Arts on Sunday, July 3, Oliver and Titus are set to entertain all, with this hilariously scary whodunit play.
Since the drama opened in Kingston, Jamaica, last December, it has been getting rave reviews and sold out audiences. “Midnight at Puss Creek” is written by the award-winning playwright, Patrick Brown and co-directed by Trevor Nairne and Brown.
“Midnight at Puss Creek” has kept Jamaicans as well as audiences from a few U.S. cities in stitches and now Floridians will be tickled, dazzled and excited too. Veteran actor/comedian Oliver Samuels teams up with another seasoned actor, Glen “Titus” Campbell, to deliver, by far 2011’s best comedy-play. Samuels who quotes memorable biblical verses to deliver punch lines, is contributory in grooming young and multi-talented actor Courtney Wilson masterfully change roles. Wilson in his detective character brings laughter throughout, as he combines old fashioned investigative police work with new technology.
Samuels says, “’Midnight at Puss Creek’ is the most challenging piece of theatre I have been privileged to be a part of. It is that kind of work. Audiences love this one. It is great fun, packed with hilarious moments, and definitely something most have never experienced before. I am really excited.”
The stars who will be on “Puss Creek” include Oliver Samuels, Glen “Titus” Campbell, Camille Davis, Courtney Wilson, Sheree McDonald-Russell and Teisha Duncan.
The suspenseful, mysterious and comedic storylines tease audiences to solve the mystery and lucky fans are eligible to win prizes for their detective work. With its high interactivity audiences get a chance to guess what they think will be the ending of the play and at the end can win a prize.
See the Creek! Follow the clues! Solve the crime, and you could win.
