Bad Bunny broke the internet when he announced that he would be hosting a residency in la isla del encanto. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, whose stage name is Bad Bunny, revealed his 21-date residency at the iconic Coliseo de Puerto Rico on Monday, Jan. 13 on Instagram. In the video, Bad Bunny expresses how he plans to tour countries like, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Japan and others and promises his fans around the world that before the year ends, he will announce the dates. But for now, he can't quite leave his home, Puerto Rico

He says in Spanish: "Thanks to music and the love you give me through my music, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to sing in different places of the world. I appreciate and love to do it. There are places I for sure will return to like Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia. And some I’ve never been to but would like to visit, like Brazil and Japan."

Bad Bunny added: "But for now, I am in Puerto Rico, I am home. I'm having a good time and if I'm being honest, I don't want to leave."13581641671?profile=RESIZE_710x

In the video, he walked down a hallway passing by posters of all his previous tours – La Nueva Religion Tour, X100PRE, El Último Tour del Mundo, World’s Hottest Tour and Most Wanted Tour – and unveiled a new poster that announced his "No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency at El Choli" residency.

Bad Bunny is set to kick off the 21-date show on July 11 with the first nine shows being exclusive to Puerto Rican residents. He also gave travelers the opportunity to experience a show in Puerto Rico with 12-shows starting Aug. 1. Pre-sale will be available for residents on Wednesday, Jan. 15 and non-Puerto Rican residents on Friday, Jan. 17

The last time Bad Bunny performed at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico was for his Most Wanted Tour in June 2024. He has dedicated shows to the island with three shows at the same arena for the X 100PRE tour, two sold-out shows at San Juan’s Estadio Hiram Bithorn in December 2021, and three sold-out shows for Un Verano Sin Ti at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in 2022, followed by a listening party for Nadie Sabe lo que va a Pasar Mañana the year after.

This announcement comes after Bad Bunny released his sixth studio album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, an album dedicated to the people and sounds of Puerto Rico. The album featured 17 tracks with collaborations from the island like RaiNao, Chuwi, Dei V, Omar Courtz and Los Pleneros de la Cresta.
