Come Thursday January 9 -2014 Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Roger Clarke will be participating, in a workshop to discuss the findings of the 2013 Socio-Economic and Carrying Capacity Study of the Pedro Cays.
The event will take place at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge, at the University of the West Indies Mona Jamaica. The event starts at 8:30 a.m.
The objectives of this workshop will be to present the findings of the above-mentioned studies, discuss the recommendations and to examine the way forward; i.e. to discuss the best approaches to the sustainable use of the Northeast and Middle Cays.
This workshop targets key stakeholders and a selected group of experts with an interest in fisheries, environmental conservation, coastal ecology, sustainable development, education and research and development.
