Tomorrow morning Tuesday December 3-2013 Jamaican Minister of Health Dr. Fenton Ferguson will deliver the keynote address at the slated to be held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston Jamaica.
Vision 2020 (The right to Sight) is a global initiative by the World Health Assembly and a number of international organizations including CCB-Eye care Caribbean to significantly reduce avoidable blindness by 2020.
Ministries of Health and other organizations across CARICOM Countries interested in blindness prevention and sight restoration, convene an annual meeting as part of the current 5 (five) year programme.
The activity comes against the background of Disabilities week being observed this week in Jamaica, being kick off with a National church service held over the weekend on Saturday November 30-2013.
