Barbados Crop Over Festival celebrates a 200-year-old tradition that honours the end of the sugar cane season in Barbados. This carnival is the biggest event in Barbados and celebrates all that is Bajan with dusk till dawn parties, music, arts and crafts markets and culinary-driven street fares, and culminates on Grand Kadooment Day, the island’s most exciting day of the year, as Masquerade Bands make their way to Spring Garden Highway with revellers dressed in sequin costumes and dancing behind music trucks. Other events include the Calypso and Soca Monarchs.
Visitors are welcomed to participate in the bands. For more information on how you can participate in Barbados Crop Over click here.
